Privacy policy

This policy explains what Sasquatch Property Care collects through the attic insulation estimate on this site, why we collect it, who receives it and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are

Sasquatch Property Care, a home care company serving Ottawa, Gatineau and the surrounding region. You can find us at www.sasquatchpropertycare.com. Questions about this policy go to the person responsible for privacy at Sasquatch Property Care, at info@sasquatchpropertycare.com.

What we collect

Your answers. What you would most like sorted in your attic, what you are seeing up there if you tell us, whether you are an Enbridge Gas customer, the size of your top floor, how much insulation you think you have and what it looks like. None of this needs your name, and we use it to prepare your estimate and to check which offers may apply to you.

Your contact details. Your first name, last name, email address and phone number, which we ask for only at the end, once your estimate is on screen.

Your appointment. If you book a home visit, the date and time you choose.

Technical information. Like any website, ours receives your IP address and browser details when you open a page. We use the IP address only to stop the form being abused, and your browser’s time zone so appointment times read correctly.

Why we use it

• to show you your estimate and the offers you may qualify for;
• to contact you about your estimate and arrange or confirm your home visit;
• to send you text messages or emails about your estimate, if you checked the consent box;
• to keep the site secure and working.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for any purpose you have not been told about here without asking you first.

Your consent

By sending the form you agree to us using your details as described here. Text messages and marketing emails are separate: we send them only if you checked the consent box, and you can withdraw that consent at any time by replying STOP to a text, using the unsubscribe link in an email, or writing to info@sasquatchpropertycare.com. Withdrawing it does not affect your estimate or your appointment.

Who receives it

AI Optimize. Our customer records and booking calendar run on the AI Optimize platform. Your contact details and your appointment are stored there on our behalf.

Our hosting provider. This site is hosted by Vercel, which processes the requests your browser makes to it.

These providers act for us and may use your information only to provide their service to us. Some of them store or process information outside your province, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under the laws there. Beyond them, we share your information only where the law requires it.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third parties.

Cookies and storage in your browser

The estimate does not set cookies. While you go from your estimate to the booking page, your answers and contact details are held in your browser’s session storage so you do not have to type them again. That storage is cleared when you close the tab, and after you book.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as we need it to answer your request, carry out and support any work you hire us for, and meet our legal and accounting obligations. After that it is deleted or made anonymous.

How we protect it

Information travels to and from this site encrypted, and the keys that give access to our customer records stay on our servers and are never sent to your browser. Access to your information is limited to the people and providers who need it for the purposes above.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent to us using it. Write to info@sasquatchpropertycare.com and we will answer within 30 days. We may need to confirm who you are before we do.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or, if you live in Quebec, to the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.

Changes

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
